3 different car manufacturers have chosen DENSO as OE supplier for spark plugs:
Nissan, Smart and Toyota. Of the six different car engines 5 are fitted with DENSO
Iridium spark plugs.
Nissan's Qashqai 2.0 is fitted with the latest spark plug technique: FXE20HR11. This is a Super Ignition Plug (SIP) and has an ultra-fine centre and ground electrode made from DENSO's patented Iridium alloy. This long life plug gives the engine outstanding performance.
As Toyota's Auris and Corolla are fitted with the same 1.6i 16v engine they make both use of the new long life Iridium plug, the SC20HR11. The plug has a 0,7 mm Iridium center electrode and a platinum tipped ground electrode.
Also the new Toyota Camry 2.4i 16v is fitted with an Iridium long life plug, the SK20R11, whereas the 3.5i V6 24v version of the Camry uses our latest technology: the FK20HR11 SIP plug. The Toyota Camry will only be available in Russia.
The new Smart ForTwo has a 0,7L engine fitted with DENSO's XU22HDR9.
