DENSO ran the DENSO IRIDIUM POWER booth at the "NAGOYA AUTO TREND" from March 7 to 9.
We asked Mr. Iwai, who is in charge of engine development for the Subaru World Rally Team, to give presentations on March 8 and 9. Mr. Iwai used the engine of a WR car, which most people don't normally get the chance to see, for the presentation, and talked about the importance of spark plugs.
There was also a Subaru WR car plug replacement demonstration like the one performed at the TOKYO AUTO SALON. Members of the public who visited our booth had the chance to try changing the spark plugs on a WRC Impreza for themselves.
On the Saturday, Nobushige Kumakubo, who is competing in the D1 Grand Prix, made a surprise appearance. He talked about his enthusiasm leading up to this year's race.
