The United Way of Guelph & Wellington provides funding to programs delivered by registered charitable organizations which address social service issues in the community. DMCN raised funds for the United Way by coordinating several events including a participation challenge where Team Leaders and Managers received a pie in the face or were put in a dunk tank if their team met the participation percentages. Several associates also donated their time to volunteer at a United Way-sponsored agency for better understanding the impact of the United Way on the community. The total amount of funds raised for the United Way was $40,336. DMCN's campaign was recognized by the United Way with a Silver Medal and an award for one of the associates as Employer Campaign Coordinator of the year.
