11 company volunteers visited a care facility for the elderly. We collected donations from associates ahead of time and raised 850 yuan (approximately 10,000 yen) to purchase fruits and carnations and offered them to the elderly at the facility. We spent about 2 hours there and the associates had a great time interacting with the elderly, singing with them and playing cards, etc.

Many of the elderly that I interacted with were quite emotional and even cried. I don't think there was any need to talk or give them anything specifically. The experience made me feel how important it is to "just sit next to them and be together, and not focus on trying to do something for them."
