We thinned a luxuriant bamboo forest in cooperation with the elementary school students, their parents and teachers. We also, reused the culled (removed) bamboos, so that the children learn about the importance of protecting the natural environment and about making effective use of resources. This program is implemented on a regular basis. |

Many people teach and learn in Kitakko no Mori, and I enjoy communication. It is especially comforting to see children cut bamboos and do bamboo crafts in a childlike manner. |
