We joined DENSO Community Service Day's "DECO Walk Kariya," in which we picked up rubbish while making Green Maps together with the local people who voluntarily took part in this event. After the cleaning, we made a Community Tree decorated with participants' message cards at a local primary school, and enjoyed watching a school play titled "Firefly" put on by pupils of the school.

It was a cold but enjoyable day, as we naturally opened up to the members from the same group. My children also might have been interested in icons for Green Map-making, but they just tended to concentrate on picking up rubbish.
