Environmental management in production
Measures against global warming at factories in essence seek to promote energy conservation and energy conversion, primarily focusing on reducing consumption of fossil fuels and promotion of conversion to renewable energy sources. Based on this understanding, DENSO has incorporated the aim of reducing CO2 emissions at the production stage among top management.
DENSO has identified environmental risks, including environmental accidents, pollution and violations of applicable laws, based on the location and business profile of each of our plants.
It is essential for individual employees to take action with strong awareness of being global citizens. Based on this idea, DENSO provides environmental training by employment level, environmental technology basic training for employees responsible for product development and specialized training to develop internal environmental auditors.
In order to pursue initiatives efficiently by appropriately distributing management resources, DENSO employs environmental accounting based on guidelines developed by the Japanese Ministry of the Environment as a tool for achieving these goals.
