Good for you, Good for us, Good for Nature
The activity started as the result of an associate suggestion, through the DMMI Wildlife Conservation Committee (WCC).
The WCC was founded in 1998 to promote volunteer-based habitat preservation and conservation activities as well as promoting environmental awareness. 12 volunteer employees meet twice a month to discuss operations and play a leading role in activities aiming to protect the environment.
In addition to the Bluebird protection program, the WCC is responsible for various other activities including the establishment of a wildflower garden and Trail's Day. One day a year, members of the committee, together with local residents walk through and do a major cleanup of the trails around the State Park located nearby. |
