DENSO procures a variety of components and materials, including supplementary materials, from a great number of companies. DENSO's activities by themselves are not sufficient for reducing environmental loads at all stages of business activities. It is essential to purchase environmentally-friendly components and materials from eco-friendly companies and suppliers. DENSO regards this effort as DENSO's Green Procurement and promotes these activities. |

| DENSO Group's Green Procurement Guidelines require of suppliers the following two points: |

Establish an environment management system by fiscal year 2003 based on acquisition of external ISO 14001 certification to systematically control and promote environmental conservation activities and to continue with improvements. |
| 2) |
Report 100% of factory use and contained weight of various chemical substances in components and materials to verify and confirm the existence and quantification of environmentally hazardous substances. |
