Various kinds of plastics are used in an automobile, but weaken when they become old. Therefore, used plastics are broken into small pieces and used for other products, or burned and used as heating fuel. The most effective way to use resources is not to burn them, but to recycle them and reproduce the same material as the original.
As a test case for recycling resources, DENSO is working on recycling nylon resin tanks, which is a part of radiators used to cool engines where the coolant solution is stored. Nylon resin is manufactured from complicated components, making it difficult to recycle. In the past, it was normally broken into pieces and used for plastic stake. In cooperation with a chemical manufacturer, DENSO has developed a technology to produce a recycled product that has the same functions as a brand new radiator tank, and is now continuing to study the commercial applications.

It's called 'materials recycling' to recycle from one material to another material.
