Shinji Shirasaki is director of the Electronics Product Division and responsible for electronic control units (ECU) for engine management systems.
|
|
Shirasaki was appointed to the board in June 2003.
|
|
Shirasaki began his automotive career at DENSO Corporation (formerly Nippondenso Co. Ltd.) in 1974 after he graduated from Osaka University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Engineering.
|
|
Throughout his career, he contributed to the development of new engine management technologies. He has developed ECUs that have cleared various emission regulations in Europe, United States and Japan. Because of his accomplishments DENSO leads the industry in this product field.
|
|
In 1997, Shirasaki was named general manager of one of DENSO’s Electronic Engineering departments.
|
|
In 2002, he was promoted to general manger of the entire Electronics Product Division.
