Shigehiro Nishimura is a director responsible for global operations planning in the Sales Planning department at DENSO Corporation in Kariya, Aichi, Japan.
|
|
Nishimura was appointed to the board in June 2003.
|
|
Nishimura joined DENSO Corporation (formerly Nippondenso Co. Ltd.) in 1974 after earning a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Yokohama City University in March 1974.
|
|
He began in the International Operations Planning department where he was responsible for the establishment and management of global operations.
|
|
In 1981, he transferred to DENSO (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. and supported the establishment of the company. With a deep knowledge of the Asian market, Nishimura returned to headquarters in 1987 to the International Operations Planning department responsible for the Asian and Australian regions.

|
In 1991, Nishimura transferred again but this time to Europe and established DENSO Manufacturing UK Ltd.
|
|
He returned to headquarters in 1996 and in 1998 was promoted to general manager of the International Planning department where he oversaw operations and expansion of all DENSO overseas companies.
