DENSO Hosts News Conference and Exhibits at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show
— Worldwide President and CEO to Speak at News Conference —
TOKYO - DENSO Corporation will exhibit at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show, North Hall Exhibit 405, from Oct. 21 to Nov. 6, at the Makuhari Messe (Nippon Convention Center) in Chiba, Japan. Koichi Fukaya, DENSO president and CEO, will talk about DENSO's safety technology at a press briefing at the DENSO booth, on Oct. 20 at 2:40 p.m.
DENSO's exhibit will feature its wide product lineup. In the ITS and safety field, DENSO will conduct a demonstration of its driver assistance system concept that show visitors can experience for themselves. This entails a cockpit with technology that can detect a driver's condition through facial recognition, measurements of the driver's blinking, and electrocardiogram measurements. Also on display will be sensing systems including lidar, millimeter-wave radar, and vision sensors that enable the development of safety systems.
As for engine management related systems, DENSO will display environmentally friendly products that contribute to driving performances. The products include a common rail system with piezo injectors and smaller, lighter components for large hybrid vehicles, all released this year.
"We will display a mock automobile equipped with approximately 70 of our major products," said Masatoshi Ano, senior managing director of DENSO responsible for the Corporate and Administration centers. "This will help demonstrate the wide range of products we are involved in, such as engine management, electronics, electric, air conditioning, ITS and safety."
ASMO Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of small automobile motors and a subsidiary of DENSO, will share the same booth and display a wiper system that offers superior performance at high speeds as well as the latest electronic sliding door.
