Powertrain
Among many activities, DENSO develops control systems for gasoline engines and diesel engines. For instance, we are continuing to refine the advanced diesel common rail system, which maximizes fuel efficiency while contributing to higher power, cleaner emissions, and diminished noise. We are also playing a key role in the popularization of the hybrid vehicle through development of core parts - such as microchips that control the electric motor and gasoline engine - which help reduce fossil fuel emissions that increase global warming.
