DENSO to Lend DENSO East Japan Plant to Fujikura Rubber
DENSO Corporation and DENSO East Japan Corporation have agreed with Fujikura Rubber Ltd. to temporary lend DENSO East Japan’s plant to Fujikura Rubber, which has plants that have not been operational since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Fujikura Rubber will use the DENSO facility to produce industrial rubber products.
As DENSO places a high priority on supporting the restoration of the disaster-affected area and suppliers, it agreed to allow Fujikura Rubber to use its DENSO East Japan Facility as an alternative production facility until operations are restored, after being approach by Fujikura Rubber.
DENSO East Japan will continue to be positioned as a key facility in DENSO’s production system in Japan, and air conditioning systems are planned for production at the facility.
DENSO will immediately make considerations for the timing to start car air conditioning system production at DENSO East Japan.
