Notice of a Temporary Change in Company Holidays
DENSO expresses its deepest sympathy to all those affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and its aftermath.
With sincere hopes for the earliest relief and recovery of the affected areas, we will continue our utmost support in recovery efforts.
The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) has decided on the policy to change holidays from Saturdays and Sundays to Thursdays and Fridays on a national scale from July through September ｔo aid the national effort to reduce electricity consumption. In response, the Japan Auto Parts Industries Association (JAPIA) has decided to follow the decision of JAMA.
To contribute in the challenges to reduce electricity consumption during its peak in the summer, and fully cooperate with the effort made by the automotive industry, DENSO will change its holidays from Saturdays and Sundays to Thursdays and Fridays starting July 1 to September 30. This will be a company-wide effort and changes will apply to all plants and offices in Japan.
DENSO realizes the inconvenience caused by this change to local community and all concerned parties. The company deeply appreciates the understanding towards this industry-wide effort in saving energy.
